I am a resto druid and just got this trinket last night and let me tell you if it drops and you have dkp get it. The proc hardly ever drops because it says "EACH TIME", not there is a chance or anything like that. It isn't lying when it says each time. This trinket is the best healing trinket in the game right now and it's highly recommended if you see it drop, don't hesitate. You can't go wrong with 150 Spellpower either by the way. Just can't say enough good things about this trinket.

Actually I have Talisman of Resurgance too. Was able to get that after the Heroic Daily reset. I know it's mainly for Pallies and such but have always wanted to try a trinket like that out. My other trinkets were Energy Siphon and Sif's Rememberance which were pretty good but I still ran out of mana more than I would like to. Wanted to get Spark of Hope but it never dropped. With the Energy Siphon trinket I macro'd the use proc onto my Wild Growth which made sure it got maximum healing, will macro Talisman also to Wild Growth. Now I have almost 23k mana as a resto druid and don't expect to be running out anytime soon. Most of the time when I ran out was during hard modes and fights that lasted quite a long time or if other healers were down. Haven't had a chance to raid with Talisman of Resurgance yet but I don't think I will be dissapointed with that trinket either. I still will probably be more impressed with Solace of Defeated. These 2 trinkets together make a pretty powerful combo of spellpower and mana. Oh and the healing pally in our raid was messing with me that he didn't get Solace of the Defeated so it looks like it's gonna be very popular.

This one is the Alliance version. The one you linked is the Horde version.

Love this trinket on my druid. Using it with Sif's Remembrance or ideally Show of Faith is a really good way to get a @#$% ton of spellpower while still getting some solid regen.

The reason this is rated so high for warlocks is simple: 150 spell power. ANY class that uses spell power will have this rated fairly high for them. With the massive regen it should be considered a healer-first trinket.

Got this on my holy priest. I find it a good upgrade from Je'tzu's Bell (106 SP, chance to gain 100mp5 for 15 seconds).

This drops off 25-man Lord Jaraxxus, and procs off any non-damaging spell, including buffs like Inner Fire and Power Word: Shield.

Gives 128mp5 when the buff is fully stacked, and will not drop off unless you don't cast for 10 seconds.

The buff is called Energized.

The Horde version is Solace of the Fallen

*Penance causes 4 stacks even when it's used as a damage spell.

This trinket has 100% chance to Procc if you cast Lightning Shield also Totems :) So you can basicly Load up 4 with lightning shield and then pop Totems and you'll be ready for the Bosses :)

This trinket is currently BiS in par with it's Heroic big brother, for a Resto Shaman. Very sweet trinkets indeed for healing.

An interesting note for Holy Paladins, casting Beacon of Light causes this trinket to auto-refresh every second for the duration of the buff.

Edit: This will be fixed as of Patch 3.3.0.

For Holy priests specced into Serendipity, casting Flash Heal or Binding Heal will add TWO stacks of this trinket. I guess gaining Serendipity counts as casting a helpful spell.

Also, Holy Concentration will add a stack, if that procs as well. (Flash healed and got 2 stacks, flash healed again and the stacks jumped from 2 to 5 when Holy Conc. procced.)

Blizzard patched it and Serendipty/Holy Concentration no longer add stacks. However, Circle of Healing and Holy Nova now add stacks equal to the number of targets they hit! So one CoH in a raid = 6 stacks!

The mp5 buff procs on buffs , shields , water walking , inervate , barkskin , you name it.
That makes it as viable for a dps just as for a healer (patch 3.2.2) .

Well if you agree then i see no point in talking about the way one gems as its not the place.If you want to talk about the way casters gem you go in the thread for mp5 gems . Here we are talking about a trinket on which you agree to what i said. I dont see the need to talk about jewels.

if any healers r going for this and the heroic version, dont. use the 2nd slot for something else. reason listed below copied from the horde version, my post.

personally, i dont think ANY healer should need 2 of these. i play a disc priest and have just the reg version of this thing and without the pally wis buff, no shammy mana spring, no flask of pure mojo, im hitting atleast 800mp5 with this thing topped out. i generate so much mana, i can chain cast greater heal forever instead of flash heal if i wanted to. i so rarely use my shadowfiend in a raid, its actually kinda sad to watch the other great healers in my guild go OOM and im still topped off at the end of the fight

This doesn't make much sense.

First of all, every healer spec has different mana regen mechanics so stating that any healer should not get both versions is plain bad advice.

You need to think about this, if you get both of the trinkets you get alot of regen for a very low amount of ilvl points (the Spellpower of both trinkets is also really great and is factored in the ilvl budget of the item).

With the insane and reliable regen from these 2 combined, you might be able socket all (or at least many) sockets with max throughput (instead of regen stats like spirit, int and mp5) because you might not need any additional regen at all suddenly.

Next to gemming you can also gear for max throughput by trying to avoid gear with regen-based stats like mp5/spirit.

TLDR
At the end all the (cheap) regen you gained from these two means you can replace other sources of regen elsewhere (gemming/gearing) by gaining more throughput instead. That was the main idea of writing this.

This trinket , because it wears the same name in the normal and heroic mode , should be unique - equiped.
The mp5 buff procs on buffs , shields , water walking , inervate , barkskin , you name it.

if a dps has this, they're an idiot that doesnt know what type of trinkets they should have. if u want a dps trinket, go get reign of the dead/defeated

Even then, show me a trinket that's better for throughput. The regen is just a bonus (in your case) whether you need it or not. The Spellpower alone is very nice already.

Honestly, if you never run OOM even without wisdom/totem, you need to either

A) Do harder content; I dare you to do ToGC25 without above-mentioned buffs and come out of the fight with "still topped off mana" without using your shadowfiend or using druids' innervates.

B) Stop gemming for mana regen/int! If you have that much regen you're prioritizing regen way too much. I.e., I myself have a resto druid and according to RAWR (PVE Simulation tool) I have about 1000 MP5 in combat including all raidbuffs, innervate and this trinket (no manatide totem though), And I still gem purely for SP (unless the socket bonus is worth anything, in which case i gem for SP/Int or SP/spi)

If you use this trinket twice (normal and Hc one) you can free up gem slots/certain other pieces with an abundance of regen stats to go for more throughput.

read my posts above plz b4 talking about gemming for mp5 or int. i dont do it. if u read what i posted b4 this, ud have seen i gem for pure power, namely sp and crit

now onto what ur talking about instancewise. my guild does the reg 25man weekly and clears it. and im still the only one topped off at the end of the fights. and we do the heroic 10man weekly. we've downed up to anub there.sadly, the rest of the guild doesnt have the gearing for the heroic 25man. or the coordination. on top of all this, i now have to go shadow for my guild, permanently.
MSG TO ALL THE IDIOT CASTER DPS BELOW THAT STILL THINK MP5 IS FOR THEM
so im nvr gonna need this thing again.

My mage alt has this. It was going to be de'd and all he had was two darkmoon trinkets. So yeah, 150sp is 150sp. The mana regen is just there also, and of course the trinket will hopefully be replaced by something more for dps.

Needless to say, this is a decent dps trink, like a Illustration (lite) for cases where healers don't need it.

ok now i can p iss u all off. i said above that i only have one of these(nonheroic), i gem for pure power, never use my shadowfiend, or use mana pots. my guild just did icc 10man last night. I WAS THE ONLY HEALER TOPPED OFF AT THE END OF MARROWGAR. that alone is atleast a 7-8 minute fight. did not once touch my shadowfiend or a mana pot. now try telling me any healer needs 2 of these

When you cast a raid buff the stack goes to 8 automatically...i throw out a buff before the raid just to get my mp5 from the start.
